Someone asked me about the rooms I rent out. Here's some information.

When you read other students' posts and you like what they wrote, remember to click the "exalt" button under that student's name. This creates good energy for both of you! (You can also "smite," but I recommend not using this--bad energy.)

Important instructions for posting your Research Topic, that I forgot to say in class today, May 25! Read carefully and modify your post.

Choose one topic. Write one fact and one opinion about it.

On the "April 20 H/W" board, read each person's topic, and ask that person one question about that topic. What do you want to know?

From p. 13, choose a topic, develop your ideas, write and post your presentation here. This is your "forum post" due BEFORE Golden Week vacation. Also, copy and print this forum post and bring it to class on MAY 11.

From p. 61, choose a topic, develop your ideas, write and post your presentation here. This is your "forum post" due BEFORE class on May 18. Also, copy and print this forum post and bring it to class on MAY 18.

On the "April 20 H/W" board, read each person's question to you about your topic and answer that question. Give detailed answers. Practice communicating your thoughts about your topic.

Prepare for Unit 11 "Pet Peeve." You don't have to post this, but prepare it on a word processor and bring it to class on May 18.

Prepare a story about a time when you were bothered by another person, or when you bothered another person. Post your story here before class. See page 53 for ideas.

Prepare for Unit 6, Saying "I Love You." You don't have to post this, but prepare it on a word processor and bring it to class on May 25.

Here's the homework assignment given June 1, due by June 8:
1.) Modify your Research Topic post, as described in class today.
2.) Post three opinions about topic of interest to you on this board. And, print and bring this to class on June 8.

Here's the homework assigned June 8, due by June 15:
1.) post your opinion about another student's opinion on the 6/1 homework board. Post your opinion on THIS board. (See my example)
2.) Unit 15 "To Tell or not to Tell" preparation, as described in class.
Due by June 19:
3.) 2 cycles of online TOEIC practice

First, I put this board up late, so if you post late, don't worry about it. But, remember to post. Homework is: 1.) Copy--paste one post from the 6/8 HW board, and respond to it using "Although___, ___. 2.) print your Research Project and bring it and your rough poster (A4), 3.) P. 69 "Courage" story in pictures. Finally, when you use the Bulletin Board, remember to exalt another student.

1.) Forum post. On this board, describe a recent news story and your opinion/comment about that story.
2.) Research Project Presentation Preparation. On a word processor, write your outline and the first draft of your presentation. Also, begin designing and gathering materials for your visual aids.
3.) And, if you didn't post the 6/15 homework yet, do that first.

This is the homework assigned June 29, due by July 6:
1.) Presentation preparation. Next week we will do presentations in class, so prepare your visual aids, notes (main ideas, not sentences), and one discussion question about your topic.
2.) (optional; you can complete this by July 13. Say 'Thank you' to Mao.) From the news reports on the July 22 board, copy and paste one to this board, respond to it. Use patterns from the Discussion Patterns sheet. See my example. This is the last forum post. Do your best

HW assigned July 6:
1.) Carry over from last week. See June 29 homework. Post your final forum post to the June 29 board. DUE BY THIS FRIDAY, JULY 10, MIDNIGHT
2.) If you did your presentation today, to this board, post a brief summary and one discussion question about your presentation today. See my example.
